Children’s Programming and Events
Weekly Story Times*
Our story times engage the whole child and invite caregivers to be part of the experience. There are joyful, active, participatory songs, finger plays to practice, and active listening while an award winning picture book story is read. We sing, talk, read, write and play in our story times to promote the language and literacy skills for babies through preschool age children. Story time provides opportunity for children to acquire the foundational skills which prepares children to learn to read. A Story time provides an opportunity to enjoy learning with other children and friendships are formed. Make Story time a part of your child(rens) early years.
Baby Time You are invited to climb aboard on a morning sensory adventure that will make your baby smile. Fun short stories are introduced that are full of rhyme, rhythm, and repetitions prompting giggles all around. Magic moments with Mother Goose & nursery rhymes are introduced. Little fingers get moving when fun finger plays are introduced. And puppets peek in too! This story time program is designed for our youngest library patron’s age 6 – 18 months and their caregivers.
